Motherhood in Spring: Embrace Hidden Growth
Motherhood, Seasons of Life, Personal Growth
For mothers, springtime often meets us in the middle of full days, busy schedules, and work that never really pauses. And at the same time, it reminds us that growth is happening, even when we can’t see it.
Motherhood itself is a lot like spring. It’s a season of planting. Every day, we are sowing something into the hearts of our children, patience, faith, perseverance. We do it in the small moments: answering one more question, reading one more book at bedtime, choosing to keep going when we are tired or exhausted. And often, this work is under the surface. It seems to go unnoticed.
Because the truth is, there are no awards for the everyday things. The many meals, the never ending laundry, the late nights supervising a homework assignment, the steadfast listening ear. But these are the moments where our love and devotion take root. These are the places where something lasting begins.
Springtime reminds us that growth must start underground. Seeds take time before they ever break through the soil. Mothering can feel the same way. We guide, we correct, we repeat ourselves, and sometimes we wonder if any of it is taking hold. But just because we cannot see it yet doesn’t mean it’s not growing.

Scripture reminds us not to grow weary in doing good, because in time, there will be a harvest. That promise feels especially deep for mothers, who bear the weight of sacrificial love every single day.
This season can also a time to let go. To release the weight of comparison, the pressure to be perfect, and the silent belief that we are falling short. The truth is simple: your very best is good enough! Faithfulness is not perfection. It’s showing up, again and again, with a willing heart.
As the days move toward Mother’s Day, some will celebrate, and others will feel the weight of the season. Wherever you find yourself, remember this: God sees it all. The early mornings, the late nights, the unseen sacrifices. None of it is wasted.
Motherhood is holy work! Even when it feels ordinary.
So keep going.
Keep loving.
Keep showing up.
Because what is planted with faith will bloom in its time.
