Homemaking Tips for Busy Working Moms
Homemaking, Working Moms
Realistic homemaking tips for busy working moms: five simple daily and weekly rhythms to care for your home and family without burning out.
For twenty years I built a career in corporate America. Then came marriage, babies and a home to run, and there were seasons I felt completely ill equipped. I remember thinking, "I work so hard, but I still feel like I'm failing."
It is not your fault, and it is not too late.

Balancing a career, marriage, children, and homemaking can feel overwhelming, especially when you were never taught how to manage it all. But it’s not your fault, and it’s never too late to create a more peaceful home. With simple, sustainable routines, you can bring more balance and joy to your everyday life without changing who you are or giving up your career.
1. A ten-minute morning reset
Before the day gets going, spend ten minutes tidying the kitchen and setting an intention for the day. It changes how the whole day feels.

2. A weekly menu, planned once
Decide your week's dinners in one sitting, so you're not asking "what's for dinner" every single evening.
3. A landing zone by the door
One spot for keys, mail and shoes keeps the chaos from spreading through the whole house.

4. One daily focus, not a whole house
Pick one room or task to focus on each day instead of trying to deep clean everything at once.
5. A table you gather around
For me, sharing a simple meal together has been one of the easiest ways to reconnect as a family and make our home feel more peaceful and welcoming.
You don’t have to figure it out alone
The Welcome Home Homemakers Club is a $7/month community for women building a home with intention, with support, encouragement and resources every week.
"Except the LORD build the house, they labor in vain that build it." Psalm 127:1
